So here’s a story of a male actor who impressed all with his debut film. He shinned despite Aamir Khan being his co-star. But his personal struggle with drugs led to the lull period in his career. Meet Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar star Mamik Singh
The actor is Mamik Singh. He played the role of Aamir Khan’s brother in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. His sweet and shy character was loved by all. It was his debut film. Later, he appeared in movies like Koi Kisi Se Kam Nahi, Kya Kehna, Sadma, Dil Ke Jharoke Main and many more. However, despite big names in his filmography, he faded away from Bollywood. Back in 2007, the actor reportedly claimed that it was because of his addiction to drugs that he took a step back. His family life was ruined and it was all chaotic. He said, “That was a sorry phase. I got into the wrong company and was caught in the cobweb of drugs. That entire phase was responsible for the lull in my career. My family life was ruined and it was absolutely chaotic, but thanks to the good wishes of my friends and family, I fought and today completely out of it,” as reported by Firstpost. After 2000, he went missing in action from Bollywood and returned only in the year 2010 with the movie Mallika. Later, he was seen in Do Lafzon Ki Kahani and Bell Bottom. He remained active in television though.
