First Bicester Heritage car event of 2025 goes ahead despite cold and snow

Ice, snow and sleet threatened to de-road the Bicester Heritage Scramble event on Sunday, but committed fans made it out despite the chilly conditions.
The event comes from Bicester Heritage car club, which describes itself as the “centre of gravity” for UK classic car culture, and is hosted at the huge site Bicester Motion, a 444-acre former WW2 RAF Bomber training station.

Organisers said it was “a unique event where the past, present, and future of motoring and aviation comes together in the heart of the South East” and attracted thousands of visitors.
They added: “From vintage icons to cutting-edge electric high performance, luxury vehicles, the annual Scramble event is a vibrant celebration of craftsmanship, community, and innovation.”

“What a remarkable selection of vehicles, displays and true spirit of endeavour shown.”
Many attendees were thrilled that the event went ahead and so many vehicles were on display, as on X user posted about.

Others, however, were less pleased that they had to miss out on their expensive tickets or see a reduced offering due to bad weather.

One commenter said: “We have been to nearly all of them, but today was probably the last. The trek from Lincoln allied with a beyond inflation ticket price has put paid to it.”

Two more Scrambles are planned for later this year, with tickets on sale for the April event now.
