Benji Madden gushes over wife Cameron Diaz in emotional anniversary tribute
Happy anniversary, Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden!
In honor of 10 years of marriage earlier this month, Madden shared a rare selfie photo Jan. 17 with wife Diaz, gushing over his “queen” in the caption.
“This is my QUEEN,” he wrote on Instagram. “I celebrate this BAD ASS WOMAN . Wife, Mommy, friend, partner, Boss, and lover. We just hit 10 YEARS married on January 5th and every year only gets more fulfilling.”
“It’s special. Never perfect- always real- always reliable,” he continued. “Every day getting to have my best friend with me ride or die….what a beautiful life- I am GRATEFUL!!!”
The first of two photos in the post shows Diaz donning a sparkling silver dress and sporting a red lip as she smiles. The second picture is a rare selfie shot of the couple.
Madden concluded by celebrating the release of Diaz’s new Netflix film, “Back in Action,” in which she stars with Jamie Foxx. The movie was released on the streaming platform Friday and follows Diaz and Foxx as married CIA operatives who are pulled back into espionage after their secret identities are exposed.
“The Holiday” star and Good Charlotte rocker share two children: daughter Raddix, 5, and son, Cardinal, 10 months.
On a March 2022 episode of “Michelle Visage’s Rule Breakers” podcast, Diaz said her husband taught her to “to value myself a lot more.”
Diaz explained that past relationships led her to seek outside validation. With Madden, she said she has learned their relationship comes first.
“Nothing else comes before this. It’s not hard to do, because it’s the most valuable thing I have,” she continued. “We know that, no matter what, we can just go and be just a family anywhere, and we’re fine. We don’t need any of the things that we have, other than each other.”
Calling him a “mensch,” a person of high integrity, and raving about his sense of humor, Diaz added, “And he’s the best dad ever. I could cry, because he’s just the best.”
