Some of the biggest stars in country music will soon perform on the Grand Ole Opry stage to celebrate the historic venue’s 100th anniversary.

On Wednesday, March 19, NBC will air an epic three-hour live concert, called “Opry 100: A Live Celebration,” in honor of the Nashville concert hall becoming a centenarian.

The television special will feature legendary and rising country music stars who will bring viewers on a journey through decades of hits. Blake Shelton, who has been named as one of the performers, will also serve as host for the night.

In a teaser for the event, Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, Brad Paisley and more spoke about the significance of the Grand Ole Opry House and the celebration.

“You just walk into the Opry House and you feel the history and richness of the stories and the people that have made country music what it is,” Ballerini explained.

Luke Combs said, “Getting to be here and standing on the stage that everyone has dreamed of standing on a million times and getting to say that you’re a part of that is a badge of honor.”

In addition to the other performances, Reba McEntire has been tapped to pay tribute to country music icons Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn. The evening will feature many duets, as well. Jelly Roll and Ashley McBryde will honor Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, one of the genre’s most beloved couples, with a song, and Aloe Blacc will perform “Kiss an Angel Good Mornin” alongside The McCrary Sisters to celebrate the late Charlie Pride, who died in December 2020.
